Gelt Woods

A local forest with a rich history, originally the place where the Romans brought the stone from for Hadrian's Wall. Its well worth spending a bit of time to take a walk around the wood and truly relax. Unlike the Lake Distrcit, gelt woods doesn't suffer from an excess of visitors consequently theres a true feel of remoteness. We're only 8.4 miles from gelt woods or approximately a 15 minute drive.
